PRESS: Gazprom Neft asks to auction 3 Yamal fields on special terms
MOSCOW, Dec 9 (PRIME) -- Russian oil producer Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov asked President Vladimir Putin to support a special terms auction for three fields on the Yamal Peninsula to replenish the resource base of recently launched pipeline Gaz Yamal, business daily Kommersant reported on Thursday.
Dyukov asked to list availability of infrastructure for year-round oil transportation from Yamal by sea and access to Gazprom’s pipeline system as special conditions for the fields that belong to the Nurminskaya group -- the Nurminskoye, Rostovtsevskoye and Sredneyamalskoye deposits.
Only Gazprom Neft meets these conditions.
The Gaz Yamal pipeline capacity amounts to 20 billion cubic meters per year, and the project is mainly aimed at shipping gas from the Novoportovsky deposit to the system of Gazprom.
The Natural Resources and Environment Ministry said that there were no preparations to issue licenses on these fields.
